Experience the magnificent Lofoten Islands by sea! The rich wildlife in the Lofoten Islands have fascinated visitors for centuries, if you are lucky, you can see both eagles and seals, and a great variation of bird life on a trip to the Trollfjord.
 
We drive up through the strait of Øyhellsundet and up to the spectacular Trollfjord. Here we find historic sites, sandy white beaches and one of the most dramatic Fjords in Norway. We also visit the beautiful whaling island Skrova with it´s charming harbor.

We include floatation-suits.

  • All passengers will be outfitted with floatation suits. We recommend wearing warm clothes as a base layer underneath and good shoes.
  • The tour will run with a minimum of 2 persons. Note that the route may be altered or canceled at short notice due to climatic conditions.

Not a rorbuer but lovely views.
We stayed at the Svinoya Rorbuers but in a small double bedroom in a small modern hotel called the Vestfjord Suites. It was lovely. There were two big picture windows in the bedroom and you could lay in bed and look at wonderful views. There was also a balcony where you could sit out and eat lunch and generally relax ( weather permitting!). We walked to breakfast at the atmospheric restaurant on site. ... more It was very busy, the staff were harassed and there were barely enough tables. Moral of the story is to not go at around 9am. We also ate here in the evening when we had a very friendly waitress and good food. However if you want to venture into Svolvaer it is only a short walk across the bridge

Magical location plus wildlife, great food and northern lights - what an experience!
We stayed in Rorbuer 23 arriving late on a snowy cold evening in January. Our cabin was toasty warm and welcoming. Twin beds a bit basic and not so comfy but it did not spoil a wonderful stay. When we woke up in the morning to see the view onto the water and mountains it was all worthwhile! We saw otter prints in the fresh snow under our cabin and many sea eagles from the comfort of our cosy kitchen. ... more Food at the restaurant was amazing, service and ambience lovely and we were welcomed as old friends after the first day. The stock fish was a treat and the range of Italian wines a surprise. Staff in reception very helpful. We loved the old hardware store feel. All in all a great place to stay for a few days and thoroughly recommended for anyone who likes atmosphere over luxury
