Bottlenose dolphin pods are seen here often feeding on large schools of fish and are often as curious as we are and can give you an experience of a lifetime!

This trip is suitable for ages 7 years up and is a must for anyone looking for a lifetime experience with the wild! There is some 400+ dolphins living in the area and chances to see dolphins on kayak tour are high (90%) with likely chances to also see turtles, whales (May- November), rays, sea birds and soldier crabs in their thousands. Kitesurfing Lessons are broken into 2.5 hour lessons. Please
be aware that everyone progresses differently. Some may progress faster and
others may take a little longer. With our highly experienced and professional
team working with you personally every step of the way, your sure to enjoy a
safe rewarding experience into the world of kitesurfing!

Generally, 2-3 kitesurfing lessons (2.5 hours) are what it takes to be up and riding competently. Below is the 3 kitesurf lesson break down:

Lesson 1. Beach basics. 2.5 hrs
80 % of kitesurfing is knowing how to control the kite. The more
competent we get you with kite control the easier progression will be on the
water. Kite equipment intro, safety systems & techniques, launching,
landing & other kite skills are introduced in this thrilling first kitesurfing lesson.

Lesson 2. Hit the water 2.5 hrs
Lets do this! Continuing on from our first kitesurfing lesson we continue to gain confidence in kite control and behavior. Skills learnt here include body dragging technique used to
get you competent with the behavior and power of the kite on the water. Other
important skills include safety, water relaunch and board retrieval techniques.

Lesson 3. Time to ride 2.5 hrs
This is the moment you will remember forever! The day you first got up
on the board. It’s one of the best rushes of adrenaline you will experience! Our
waist deep locations make progression very safe and fast. Basic board riding
skills, self rescue techniques and kiting etiquette are all part of this
lesson. 

Includes: all equipment, transport & first kitesurfing lesson.

There is always lots of waves and the location is only accessible by 4wd making it harder to get to for most. It's uncrowded & lots of waves for you.

- Riding wave, turning & generating speed

Day 2 – Mt William National Park & Bay of Fires region
A day in the Tasmanian wilderness to pursue the monotreme double in platypus and echidna, travel to the far north east corner of Tasmania to the Mt William National Park. Take a stroll on the stunning white beaches in the Bay of Fires region, lunch with the Bennett’s wallabies and see the resident wildlife in the area. The Forester kangaroo and the wombat are just a couple of the inhabitants who share this coastal National Park with over one hundred species of birdlife.

Day 3 – Ben Lomond & Quoll Patrol
A day in the highland areas of north east Tasmania. Depart Scottsdale for Ben Lomond National Park, a spectacular mountain of dolerite columns and scree slopes. Impressive views and a magnificent array of alpine vegetation are on offer. After a picnic lunch we travel to Evercreech Forest Reserve and visit the “White Knights”, the world’s tallest white gum trees before travelling to the Tyne Valley for a campfire dinner with the forester kangaroos. Relax by the camp fire with a glass of Tasmanian wine or beer and see our field of dreams comes alive with eastern quolls, brush-tail possums & Tasmanian pademelons visiting the camp fire while Bennett’s wallaby and wombats graze close-by. (Evercreech visit is seasonal)

Day 2 – Platypus Viewing and Tamar Valley Vineyards
After a Beulah Heritage country style breakfast we travel a short distance to the outskirts of Scottsdale to view the unique and fascinating platypus. Leaving the platypus, we continue to the Tamar Valley where we visit a variety of vineyards. Jansz Tasmania boasts the best bubbles in Tasmania and experience the rustic charm of Delamere Vineyard. Crossing the picturesque Tamar River we chase the reds and visit Holm Oak or Moores Hill for wine or whisky. Moving down the Tamar River we visit Tamar Ridge at Rosevears Estate before lunch at the Velo Vineyard Timbre Kitchen Restaurant.

End of service is at Launceston 5.00 pm. Post tour accommodation and dinner are for own arrangements.

Wildlife Viewing
Tasmanian wildlife viewing at its best – you will be delighted and enchanted while sitting by the campfire as the wildlife appear at dusk.
