What you can expect
What will you see?
Local Environment:
This is one of Sweden’s oldest forests, rocky terrain and numerous lakes. We will leave the mainstream paths behind and go off-trail to really explore. This is the wild. The nature reserve is big, so we´ll use the well fixed and easy accessible tracks to get to the points where we leave the sivilisation behind and go off-track. Some times it will get technical with roots and rocks. You can find edible mushrooms and wild berries.

Wildlife:
The local bird life is very rich in this area. Typical species are black woodpecker, green woodpecker, three-toed woodpecker, the pygmy owl and many other birds like capercaillie. We can see beaver dams, there are a lot of beavers in the area. Sometimes we see them swimming. We often come across deer and moose also.

“Great place to spend the day!
This was a great hike, our guide was awesome and very knowledgeable about the place we hiked. We learned a lot and also enjoyed the activity, highly recommended. The one suggestion to Green trails I would have is to let the other fellow hikers to please refrain from using the cell phones for texting and especially calls. It was a nature hike and other people on the hike talking on the cell phone, does ... more not allow the group enjoy the activity. It is not Green Trails fault but a simple warning added at the start of the hike may help prevent this issue. But overall we really enjoyed it and it was a great day
