What you can expect
Day 01

AIRPORT – NEGOMBO

“Ayubowan”, On arrival at the Katunayake International Airport. One of our representative from AVOGA TRAVELS will meet and great at the airport and transfer to the one of the leading hotel in Negombo. You can enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to relax before enjoying SRI LANKA HOLIDAYS TOUR. Negombo is Sandy long Beach. After short break you will start the tour. Negombo City tour, Boat trip through the Dutch cannel and visit Dutch Fort and Negombo beach. Negombo is the fifth largest city in the country. This was under Portuguese, Dutch and British influence.

Day 02

NEGOMBO – PINNAWALA – HABARANA
 
After the breakfast you will travel to Habarana via Kurunegala and Dambulla. En-route will visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. This is a Foster home for the elephants of different age and size. You can see feeding, bathing, playing and more activities. We will spend 3 hours and proceed to Dambulla. This town has been a sacred place since the second century BC. The Golden Temple of Dambulla is an important Buddhist shrine and monastery. The Rock Temple (Rangiri Dambulla Rajamaha Viharaya) and The Golden Temple (Rangiri Dambulla Uyanwatta Rajamaha Viharaya) are interconnected temples with single administration. The temple is composed of five caves and collection of 157 valuable statues. These five caves are Deva Raja Viharaya, Maha Raja Viharaya (Temple of the Great King) Maha Aluth Viharaya, Pascima Viharaya and Devana Aluth Viharaya. The caves are decorated with religious and secular paintings from the 15th and 16th century. Evening visit Hurulu Eco Park and afterwards you can do Elephant Ride.

Day 03

HABARANA – POLONNARUWA – HABARANA

After Breakfast will travel to Second ancient Capital of Polonnaruwa. Do sightseeing tour in ancient city of Polonnaruwa (10th – 11th Century AD), visit the many sites of archaeological and historical interest in the Sacred City including the Statue of King Parakrama, Quadrangle, Royal Palace, Gal Viharaya, Kumara and Lotus Ponds, Thiwanka Image House and many more. And see the one of the country’s biggest water reservoir Parakrama Samudraya. This is one of the Great Ancient Man-made Lake and en route visit Medirigiriya Vatadage. In the evening Minneriya National park & Safari.(Optional).Minneriya is Elephant Gathering site and over 300 elephants you can see(Best time is July to September)

Day 04

HABARANA – SIGIRIYA – KANDY
 
After the Breakfast proceed to Sigiriya. Sigiriya Rock Fortress of Sri Lanka is situated in Matale district near Dambulla. Sigiriya is famous for its palace ruins on top of a massive 200 meter (660 ft) high rock surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs and other structures. There are about 1200 steps. The rock itself is a lava plug left over from an ancient long extinct volcano. It is also renowned for its ancient paintings (frescoes), which are similar to those found at Ajanta Caves in India. It is generally agreed, however, that the Sigiriya Frescoes exhibit a uniquely Sri Lankan style. More mysteries of Sigiriya are Frescoes, The Mirror Wall, Cobra Hood Cave, The Water Gardens, The Boulder Gardens, and The Terraced Gardens. It is one of the eight World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka. .En route visit Matale Spice Garden, Batik Factory, and Ayurveda Massage and visit Nalanda Gedige. Will reach Kandy and Check in at hotel in Kandy.
 
Kandy Tour will start. Kandy is a UNESCO world heritage site. This is the second largest city in the country after Colombo. It was the last capital of the ancient kings’ era of Sri Lanka. Kandy is beautiful city is located in the foothills of central highlands, surrounded by hills and valleys, rivers, lakes and cascading waterfalls. This is located in the mountainous and thickly forested interior of the island. The city is located in between multiple mountain ranges including the Knuckles mountain range and the Hanthana Mountain Range, giving the city an elevation of 500 meters (1,600 ft) above sea level. Evening visit Temple Of The Tooth Relic, Cultural Show and Night, walk through Kandy Lake Drive. In the evening Kandy City Tour and shopping.

Day 05

KANDY – PERADENIYA – RAMBODA – NUWARA ELIYA

On the Morning of day 5th will travel from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya via Ramboda Ella. En- route will start visiting Royal Botanical Garden in Kandy. This is a one of the best and Beauty place in Asia. The Botanical Garden of Peradeniya was a pleasure garden of a Kandyan King of the 16th Century. After fresh mind with nature will visit Gadaladeniya, Lankatilaka and Embakke Viharaya. Return back to Peradeniya and proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is a city in the Hill Country of Sri Lanka with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. Its temperate climate gives the city a very different feel from other parts of the country and, along with the colonial architecture has earned it the name ‘Little England’. It is located at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important location for Tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya is also known for the temperate, cool climate, the city is known for being the coolest area in Sri Lanka. We will visit Tea Plantation, Labookelle Tea Centre, Ramboda Ella, Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple, Queen Victoria Park and Gregory Lake. Victoria Park is known that this park was established by planting an Oak tree by a German Princes who visited Nuwara Eliya at the latter part of the 19th Century. Gregory Lake was build under the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873.This is one of the significant tourist attractions in Nuwara Eliya. Ramboda Falls is a very attractive yet simple waterfall. A gigantic and attractive waterfall Drop from 109 meters. (358 ft.)Ramboda Falls located on Kandy-Nuwara Eliya Road of Pussallawa. In the Evening walking sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya.

Day 06

NUWARA ELIYA – HORTAN PLAINS – ELLA

Today morning visit Horton Plains, Worlds End, St.Clairs Water Falls and Devon Water Falls. Evening will travel to Ella by Train. The train trip to Ella is one of the most scenic train tours in South Asia. This is one of the World’s most beautiful train trips. Ella is a beautiful, friendly and small village. Ella lies at an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level and surrounded by tea plantations, green mountains and impressive rocks. The view from Ella is breathtaking! Some even claim that the view of the Ella Gap is one of the best views in Sri Lanka. You will climb Little Adam`s Peak, Walk up to Ella’s Rock, about 2 hours (each way) along the railway track and through the tea plantations, for stunning views across the countryside, visit the Rama`s Cave, Ravana Ella, just chill by one of the water falls Ella has to offer, Ravana Ella Falls are about 5km away on the road south through Ella Gap.

Day 07

ELLA – TISSAMAHARAMA – YALA

 

After Breakfast visit Demodara Nine Arch Bridge and Baker’s fall. Demodara Nine Arch Bridge. This is 99.6ft height and known in Sinhala as “Ahas namaye palama” (Nine skies bridge).Demodara Railway Loop, Dunhinda Falls, Dilayaluma Waterfall, which is located in wellawaya beragala main road, Bogoda Bridge,(Constructed entirely of wood with massive tree trunks for buttresses. No nails have been used in the construction.), Namunukula Peak and this is 6,617 feet height. Lipton’s Seat, Mini world’s end. Also visit Maligawila Buddha Statue, Buduruwagala, Yudhaganawa, Dematamale Viharaya, Kataragama Devalaya, Tissa Raja Maha Viharaya and Kirinda. Buduruwagala surrounded by a beautiful man made ancient lake are the relatively unknown mysterious historic rock sculptures of Buduruwagala. Evening/Night visit Kataragama Devalaya and kirivehera. Kataragama is one of the three most venerated religious sites in Sri Lanka (along with Adam’s Peak and the Temple of the Tooth at Kandy)Kataragama, the domain of God Skanda (Lord Murugan Katirkaman, Kadirkamam, Subrahmanya, Kandasamy, Kadiradeva, Katiradeva, Katiravel, Karttikeya, and Tarakajith) located in the Deep South of Sri Lanka, adjoining the popular Ruhuna Yala National Park and ancient Sithulpawwa Buddhist Monastery, is a multi-religious sacred city that contains a Buddhist temple, Hindu shrine and Islamic Mosque.

Day 08

YALA – MATARA – MIRISSA

Early in the Morning travel to Yala National Park. This is also known as Ruhuna National Park and the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. There are five blocks in Yala National park and People can only visit block I and II. The park covers 979 square kilometers (378 sq mi). Yala was designated as a wildlife sanctuary in 1900, and, along with Wilpattu. It was one of the first two national parks in Sri Lanka, having been designated in 1938. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan Elephants and aquatic birds. The western part of Yala (block one) is named as the area with the highest leopard concentration in the world. Do realize that with only 35 leopards in the entire park the chances of actually seeing a single leopard are still relatively slim. After Visit Sithulpawwa Rajamaha Viharaya. This Rajamaha Viharaya is an ancient Buddhist monastery located close to Kataragama. (Tissamaharama-Yodhakandiya road towards the Yala National Park.)The name Sithulpawwa is derived from the word “Chiththala Pabbatha”, which means the hill of the quiet mind. Late evening travel to Mirissa via Tangalle, Dondara, and Matara. En route visit Blow hole, Dondara, Wewurukannala, Veherahena, Mirissa and Rock Island. Evening at leisure on the Mirissa beach.

Day 10

MIRISSA – GALLE – BENTOTA

After Breakfast Travel to Bentota via Galle. Galle is an UNESCO world heritage site in Sri Lanka. Galle is a major city in Sri Lanka and it’s a fourth largest city after the capital Colombo, Kandy and Jaffna. Galle was Under the Portuguese and Dutch Influence. Before the arrival of the Portuguese in the 16th century, when it was the main port on the island. Galle reached the height of its development in the 18th century, during the Dutch colonial period. Galle is the best example of a fortified city built by the Portuguese in South and Southeast Asia, showing the interaction between Portuguese architectural styles and native traditions. The city was extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. The Galle fort is a world heritage site and is the largest remaining fortress in Asia built by European occupiers. Travel towards Bentota and En route visit Seenigama Temple, Tsunami Memorial & amp; Museum, Moonstone Mine, Mask Museum. Moonstone’s are in the semi-precious category and are an important component of the Sri Lankan gem industry. The finest are bluish in color and are found in high concentrations in heading inland 7km to Mitiyagoda, between Ambalangoda and Hikkaduwa. Then, will proceed to Mask Museum at Ambalangoda. This museum is designed to introduce into the richness of the mask tradition of Ambalangoda and to strengthen this cultural heritage. The museum, the workshop and the small library.

Day 11

BENTOTA – COLOMBO

After Breakfast Travel to Colombo via Kalutara. Bentota is a coastal town and situated on the southern bank of the Bentota River mouth. Bentota is s tropical lagoon and a major river Bentota offers water sports possibilities. Swimming, surfing or diving in the sea, you can jet-ski, windsurf, Para sail or enjoy a romantic river safari on the river and lagoon. Today will visit Kosgoda Sea Turtle Hatchery, Madu Ganga Boat Trip, Kande Viharaya, Sri Kalyanarama Maha Viharaya Kaluwamodera, Brief garden, Lunuganga Estate, Kechimalai Mosque, Kalutara, Colombo City Tour, Gangarama Temple, Apegama, Diyatha Uyana, and Galle Face Green over Night at Colombo.

2. Booking Your Holidays:

A booking is accepted only after we received written confirmation from you with full payment or deposit 50% of the

Value of the Travel Arrangements (This may be waived solely at the discretion of Avoga Travels Private Limited.)

Reservation requests may be made in writing, by email.
For booking made via internet booking engine or through website, the payment or for email inquiries.

The full payment or payment of deposit or your written confirmation will indicate an acceptance of this terms/policy

            Reservation will be confirmed within 48 hours of booking request.

 Full details of the hotels you have requested, or the alternative that we have booked for you, will be provided.            
           

3. Final Payment:

If balance of payment is due for your travel arrangements, the balance payment must be paid by you/your company before start the tour.

 

4. Reservation of the room:

If the room is full in the requested hotel, it will be reserved in another similar one. In the unlikely event of a confirmed hotel booking being unavailable, we will use our best efforts to supply similar class of accommodation within the same geographical area.

 

5. Deposits & Payment:

Payment for full or part payment for the travel arrangements may be made either 1). Bank Transfer or 2).Credit card (Visa, Master, Amex, China Union Pay).If paid via bank transfer, all additional charges and fees related to the transfer will be borne by you/your company.


6. Price Policy:

The price of your travel arrangements its subject to the possibility changes and surcharges beyond the control of us and may occur because of government action. But if you are paying full amount before our validity date no extra charges.

7. Date Change for the bookings:

If you wish to change the date of your reservation, it can be done so by sending mail to our mail address.

If the rates for the alternate reservation dates are less than the original rate, the excess money can be utilized against extra expenditure at the hotel during your stay or extend the tour dates.

If the rates for the alternative reservation dates are higher than the original rate, the balance must be paid by you before arrival or the day on arrival.

Date changes will be done subject to availability.

 
8. Cancel your holiday:

You, or any member of your party, may cancel your travel arrangements at any time. Written notification by mail, fax or email from the ‘lead name’ on the booking or your Travel Agent on your behalf, must be received at our offices. Since we incur costs in cancelling your travel arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation shown in the grid below.

Note: if the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges from your insurance company.

More than 90 days before arrival: no cancellation charge (refundable deposit of 10% will be forfeited)
45-90 days before arrival: 50% (refund 50% only)
30-59 days before arrival: 70% (refund 30%only)
22-29 days before arrival: 80% (refund 20%only)
07-21 days before arrival: 90% (refund 10% only)
Less than 7 days before arrival: 100 %(no refund )
*In some cases the deposit may be a higher amount to secure your arrangements, this will be non-refundable and the charges will be added to the cancellation charges above

Our cancellation charges are a percentage of the total holiday cost, not including your insurance premium which is non-refundable. These charges are based on how many days before your departure we receive your cancellation notice and not when your correspondence was sent to us. Please note that any amendment charges are non-refundable. For insurance premiums you should refer to your insurance provider’s cancellation policy.

Please note, if only some members of your party cancel, in addition to incurring the applicable cancellation charges, we will recalculate the holiday cost for the remaining travelers. You may have to pay the extra room charges such as single room supplements.

In cases where cancellation charges made by our suppliers are higher than the cost of the deposit, we may pass the charge on to you. Please ask for full details and we will notify you of the specific charges applicable to your booking.

 
9. Unused services:

No Refunds or exchange can be made in respect of accommodation, meals, sightseeing tours, transports or any other services which are included in the tour prices and not utilized by the tour member.

9. Liability:

Avoga Travels Private Limited acts only in the capacity of agent for its travelers in making arrangements for transportation, hotels, and other services that are incidental to the travel that is being purchased. As agent for the travelers, Avoga Travels Private Limited is not responsible for any loss, injury, damage, death caused by to the tourists including those occurring outside of the normal touring programs.

It does not assume any liability for any injury, damage, death, loss, accident, or delay caused by strikes, civil disturbances, hostilities, and acts of war or other force majeure. It accepts no responsibility for any omission, delay, re-touring, additional expenses, or other events resulting from improper health certificates, or necessary documents to enter or depart a country, or acts of any government authority.

Additional expenses incurred due to delay, accident, natural disaster, political actions and unrest shall be borne by the tourists. Tourists are required to have full travel insurance.

Airline schedules and local conditions may affect accommodation and itineraries. Should this occur, Avoga Travels Private Limited will endeavor to substitute a suitable arrangement of similar value. Participation on any tours implies full agreement to the above conditions by all parties involved.

10. Travel Insurance:

Travel insurance is not included in your tour price. It is the passenger’s responsibility to verify whether his/her local health insurance carrier provides coverage while traveling. Please contact your insurance carrier for details.

Avoga Travels Private Limited strongly advises that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover all aspects of your tour including the loss of deposits through cancellation, loss of baggage and personal items, personal injury and death. A waiver must be signed if insurance is declined.

 
11. Information provide by you:

All information provided by you/your company should be true and accurate. We will treat it confidentially and not forward it to any third party. We have a strict anti-fraud policy and take responsible steps to protect personal information such as credit card details.


12. Electronic Communication:

You communicate with us electronically whenever you visit our website or send emails to us or over the phone.

You consent to receive communications from us electronically and by fax. You agree that all notices, disclosures a agreement and other communications that we provide to you electronically or by fax satisfy any legal requirements that communications be in writing.

 
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:

These terms and conditions are subject to the Laws and Jurisdiction of Sri Lanka. The Above terms and conditions are valid from 01st of January 2016.
