You will surely enjoy these two days! After breakfast, proceed for the morning briefing before enjoying the highlight of the trip- Gorilla trekking, which may last the entire day. We trek through the rainforest and bamboo covered slopes, accompanied by a guide and trackers, in search of a mountain gorilla family. The walking can sometimes be tough and long, but when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent silverback, any discomforts will be quickly forgotten. When sighted, visitors will be guided to within 6 metres from the gorillas, sit around them for a whole hour while gazing into their big round eyes.
Gorilla trekking is unpredictable. It's difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike. The gorilla excursion can take from 2 up to 8 hours. Expect to walk along distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. A good physical condition is recommended. For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. A ranger will brief you on how to behave with the gorillas.

While most of today's forests are no more than 12,000 years old, Bwindi's vegetation has been weaving itself into tangles over at least 25,000 years, in the process accumulating a lengthy species list. This includes 310 species of butterfly, 51 reptiles, 200 trees, 88 moths and an exceptional 120 types of mammal including 10 primates. The latter includes chimpanzee, L'Hoest's, red tailed and blue monkey, black and white colobus, baboon, and Bwindi's most famous resident, the mountain gorilla. Bwindi is a prime destination for birdwatchers. Its 350 species include seven which are IUCN red data listed and 90% of all Albertine rift endemics, species which are difficult or impossible to see in any other part of East Africa.

We drive east to Mbarara, now one of Uganda’s major towns, but formerly capital of Ankole kingdom for over 400 years until disbanded by independence in 1962. In the days before modern Uganda came into being, the area had a series of fiercely independent tribal states. The once nomadic Bahima people, part of Bantu-speaking Ankole kingdom, are renowned for the particular bond they forge with their unique, long-horned Ankole cattle. These hardy cattle respond to their individual names when called by their male herder; he in turn lives in close harmony with them. From here you continue to Lake Mburo, a small but picturesque national park renowned for its herds of antelope and one of the only two Ugandan parks home to Buchell’s zebra. The park is also especially good for acacia-associated bird.

After your early morning activities, return the lodge for a late breakfast on the wooden decking overlooking the water hole. It is the second largest national park in Tanzania and covers about 6,000 square miles of savannah, grasslands, hills, woodland, hills and riverine forests. The Serengeti National Park is also famous for the annual migration when millions of wildebeest migrate to Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. With your lunch boxes, you will depart the Camp and continue your game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Driving through the Serengeti is an authentic blend of the magical experience of the Tanzanian wilderness and wildlife. The Park is also famous for the annual migration when millions of wildebeest migrate to Masai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya. Viewing the migration is an epic safari experience. It provides visitors a phenomenal pictorial and magnificently moving scene to the naked eyes. For those who enjoy photography, Serengeti’s vast open savannah provides an incredible backdrop to even the amateur photographers. The beauty of the Serengeti lies in its unimaginably vast plains filled with all wildlife, and allows the visitors to roam the plains and embrace the magic of the wilderness. You will view antelopes, lions, leopards, wildebeest, zebras and much wildlife here. You will continue your afternoon drive in the Serengeti. As the sun sets, the horizon of the Serengeti is movingly serene, ironically giving you an unexpected calmness in the African jungle. After your spectacular day of game viewing, you will retire for the night at Ndutu Kati Kati.

On your third day at Serengeti National Park you will continue your incredible exploration of the pristine sceneries of the Park. Your professional guide will frequently uncannily and instinctively spot wildlife, leading you through an authentic safari experience. The vast plains, progressing hills, vivid stonework ridges and valleys of the Serengeti are a habitat for the diverse Tanzanian wildlife.

On this afternoon you may choose to stay at the Lodge, Ndutu Kati Kati and take a moment to write in your journal, engage in some reading or engage in walking safaris.

On your fourth day at Serengeti National Park you will enjoy a full day of game viewing. At the Serengeti, there is always a possibility of sighting ‘great migration’. Wildebeest and zebras are a common sight in these parts. The ‘great migration’ provides a spectacular photographic viewing which are thrilling moments to capture on film. Migration is normally an all year activity involving a million plus wildebeest and zebras roaming the vast plains in search of food and water. Some of the most dramatic migration moments happen when the wildebeest and zebras cross over rivers at which point they must endeavour to avoid the predators in their frantic battle to survive. Although, this dramatic undertaking of the migration cannot be precisely predicted, all Safari enthusiasts are certain to sight plenty of wildebeest and zebras while in the Tanzanian wilderness of the Serengeti.

Besides the migration, you will sight several wildlife and birdlife to wet your appetite of wildlife viewing.
